If your home or businesses is a Grade II Listed Building, we can provide you with all the crafts skills you need to look after it, with our team of specialist builders for listed buildings and our directory of craftspeople.
Due to the vast amount of skills required, we use listed building contractors and conservation builders from right across the country to undertake both listed building repairs and extensions. Our conservation builders have a great deal of expertise and knowledge and have been thoroughly vetted by the BBN before being added to our books.
Having an array of expert craftspeople and specialist builders for listed buildings enables us to cover all these areas:
- Cob, Clay Lump and Earth Walling
- Handmade Tiles
- Roof Finials
- Sash Windows
This just covers the briefest of what we can offer. For example, Lime covers Lime Putty, Lime wash, Hydraulic and Non-hydraulic lime and Pozzolans.
Our services cover conservation projects only. If you are looking for Sash window parts, hinges, latches and bolts please look through Google as we don’t have the capacity to offer advice on this.
As well as Grade II work (which covers over 90% of the Listed buildings in the UK), we can also offer Grade II* (which covers about 6%) and Grade I (about 3%) Listed building work.
When considering work of this kind it is important to plan as far ahead as possible, as these skills are rare, and our Listed building builders are usually booked up well in advance. This is a similar story with tradespeople, as they are working on Listed building restoration projects around the UK, and will need to be booked in well ahead of time.
BBN provide conservation builders specialising in the extension, restoration and repair of historic buildings and their surroundings, and the associated specialist teams of craftspeople. So speak to us first and ensure your Listed Building project is put into expert hands.
